Why Is there a Fear for Diversity?

At a recent conference[1] Our Masters talked about the fear of diversity that many people have and gave us insights into the origins of this fear and how we can overcome it.
They also explained that unity and diversity are expressed in all life and creation, and that without the complementary roles of both, this world of form could not have been created.
But where does this fear of what is different, new or unknown come from?
The answer is simple: it stems from dualistic consciousness, which is its fundamental aspect.
To better understand this, we must first understand why fallen beings in the fourth sphere and beyond created definitions and rules for everything. This allowed them to have simple standards that could guide them in knowing 'for sure' when they were 'right' and when someone was 'wrong'.
The Origin of the Fear to Make Mistakes
The first beings to fall a long time ago were shocked when the Masters confronted them with the consequences of their decision to remain in duality consciousness so that they could experience themselves as superior and 'special'.
They were convinced that they really were superior to anyone else and that what they had done and were doing was the ‘right thing to do’.
As they had not yet ascended, they were given the freedom to have this experience. However, when their sphere was ready to ascend, the Ascended Masters confronted them.
These beings in duality consciousness were shocked, causing their 'conscious you' to doubt: 'Can they be right? Can I be wrong?'
This doubt was an unbearable feeling, for beings that had such a hubris for being infallible, superior and so on. For an instant, their conscious you connected to their I am presence and saw they the Masters were right.
But you see, for these beings, to accept that they had been wrong would be a too big humiliation. So, what they did, was to lie to themselves and deny Christ consciousness that was showing them this truth.
Instead, they chose to project that they could not be wrong; it was God, the creator, who was wrong, because they simply used their freedom of choice to make themselves feel superior and special.
Therefore, they claimed, God was to blame; God had created a flawed universe.
What happened here? Well, the 'conscious you' of these beings decided to accept an 'alternative truth': they were right and God was wrong. They chose to identify with the dualistic mind and abandon the connection to the Christ mind forever.
However, as Master Jesus has explained to us at previous conferences, the Christ mind can never be definitively denied by any being because it has a safety mechanism to prevent any being from becoming lost forever.
Thus, even at the lower level of consciousness, the Christ mind and the possibility of returning to the path of oneness always exist, if the being so chooses.
This means that, besides the fact that a fallen being can never feel at peace with their beliefs because of duality - any belief has an opposite that challenges and fights to replace it - the being must justify why they remain in dualistic consciousness.
This is how dualistic logic works. At an inner, deep level, every fallen being knows that they need to deny Christ consciousness in order to remain in duality, which requires an increasing amount of effort.
Every fallen being knows, although they hide it from themselves, that they are living a lie: the lie that they are a separate being who needs to evaluate everything in dualistic terms, excluding anything that does not conform to their view of life.
Binary logic recognises the need to deny the many possibilities of reality by reducing them to just two as a fallacy: the false dilemma fallacy, whereby someone pretends that there are only two possibilities.
For example, if one is true, the other must be false; you either agree with me or you are against me; this is either true or false; and so on.
By accepting this dualistic mindset, fallen beings and fallen consciousness in general avoid the shock of being proven wrong.
When the first fallen beings fell, they decided that they never wanted to be confronted like that again, so they created conceptual pairs and binary logic to prevent themselves from ever feeling the same humiliation again when confronted by the Ascended Masters.
This same fear was projected into the collective consciousness, and even today, we see that most people fear diversity in all its forms, whether it be belief systems, cultures or human beings.
As spiritual students, we must address this major factor in our spiritual growth.
