The Initiations of the 5th Ray of Wisdom and the Ego’s Obsession for ‘Truth’

In this article, I will discuss the purpose of Christ and the obsession of the ego with 'truth'.

I will refer to the discourse of Master St Germain at the New Year's Conference[1].

I will also follow Master Lanto’s teaching about the initiations of the 5^th level of wisdom[2].

The Ego Needs Control and Security

Everyone on Earth has some degree of ego, whether they are at the beginning or a more advanced stage of their spiritual journey.

So, most people have a quest to attain 'truth' as a standard to guide them in life, prevent them from 'making mistakes', and give them a sense of being in control of their lives.

But which part of every human being feels this need? It is the ego, the outer self, that took control of our lives a long time ago, and it needs to feel safe and 'right' in order to 'be saved'.

The ego clings to an image of 'truth' that is connected to words, intellectual reasoning and dreams of an ultimate, unarguable concept of truth.

As our masters have taught us, life is always evolving, so it is impossible to attain an unchanging truth. It cannot.

This concept was developed by fallen beings who decided to stop growing and to 'stop' life from moving so that they could remain in control.

However, life cannot be stopped, no matter how hard we try.

As students of the Ascended Masters, we know that life - the Holy Spirit - is an ever-flowing reality and that we are part of this river of life.

So, how important is it for us as spiritual students to ‘find the truth’?

Master St Germain provided the answer at this conference.

The Purpose of Christ it not to Give us the Truth

I quote Master St Germain: 'The Christ mind, contrary to what many believe, is not here to bring truth to Earth.'

He continues: 'So, what is the purpose of the Christ mind? It is to find us wherever we are and help us take the next step, based on our current level, and then help us take the next step from there.'

As Master St Germain explained, there are people with so many different levels of consciousness on Earth that it is impossible to impart universal truth to everyone, even if this were possible.

The Masters adapt their teachings to our level of consciousness in a personalised way, rather than imparting the same teachings to everyone.

Furthermore, what the Masters express in words when they give a dictation is never absolute truth to begin with, because it is impossible to find any absolute truth in words that are connected to duality consciousness and the binary logic used by this type of consciousness.

Any expression in words, including the teachings of the Ascended Masters, can always be countered by another argument because everything created in this world of form has an opposite.

Therefore, words cannot attain absolute truth, no matter what the ego and fallen beings want to believe.

So, must we conclude that it is impossible to find any truth on the spiritual path?

The answer is no; we can. Masters St Germain and Lanto have told us how we can find truth in the way Master Jesus also said 2,000 years ago: 'I am the way, the truth, and the life.'

The Masters, in their beings and the presence they share with us, are the truth.

Truth is not a concept or an image; it is an experience. When we connect with a Master and go beyond their words to their presence, we experience the truth.

The only way to find true truth on Earth is to connect with a Master who embodies truth, because the Master is connected to the Christ Mind.

Connecting with a Master is an experience of the Christ Mind, and the only way to find truth is through the Christ Mind.

So, if we want to ‘know’ truth, we must let go of the ego and connect to our spiritual source, the ‘conscious you’ that is the localised focus of awareness of our I am Presence.

Until we are able to  do this, our Masters are the truth we can experience.
