The first Initiation of Wisdom

In this article, I will discuss the first initiation of wisdom: the need to overcome « the perception filter that is so prevalent in the world, the perception filter where people think that wisdom should be used as a weapon.»[1]

I am following Lord Lanto’s teachings.

Worldly ‘wisdom’ and God’s Wisdom

In my last article, I wrote that true wisdom has nothing to do with intellectual knowledge. Understanding the difference between these two approaches is the first step in the initiation process of wisdom and the first pillar that must be internalised.

Why? Because, as Lord Lanto tells us, the first challenge we face at the 55th level of consciousness is to overcome the perversion of the wisdom of the first ray, which is related to using 'wisdom' to gain power over others:

All  people on earth, at the 55th level of consciousness, are in duality consciousness and the only ‘meaning’ of wisdom they can understand is wisdom as a ‘weapon’ to compete with others and gain some privilege with that.

We can only attend Lord Lanto’s retreat if we have already passed the initiations of the first ray of power and creativity with Master More, the Chohan of the 1st ray.

However, even after graduating from the first ray, initiates remain in a state of duality, which continues until passing the 96th level initiation.

Thus, as Lord Lanto says, when students go to his retreat, they come with the concept of 'wisdom' as defined by fallen consciousness. They believe that they can overpower their opponents by presenting better arguments:

: «(….) [they think that] they can study so hard, that now they become better, wiser, smarter, more knowledgeable than other students.»[2]

They study and read more and more sources of knowledge, looking for absolute truths expressed in words  that they can use to feed their sense of superiority and 'win', taking the phrase 'knowledge is power' literally.

They are looking for a kind of wisdom that will give them a better place in this world by demonstrating that they are ‘better than others.

They rely on the dualistic definition of 'truth' as opposed to 'falsehood' because, according to the circumstances in which they find themselves, only this can provide them with 'certainties' to use against others.

However, the ‘wisdom’ taught by Lord Lanto has nothing to do with mundane affairs and does not involve attaining goals in the material world. We cannot use it against others to prove ourselves better than them.

Moreover, true wisdom is beyond words; it is an experience. Although, at our current level of consciousness, the Masters give us 'wisdom' through words because that is what humankind can grasp, but the Masters never give us any 'absolute truth'.

Dualistic consciousness can only function within the duality of opposing concepts, such as 'true' and 'false'. When it accepts one of these opposites as true, it automatically considers the other as false.

By acknowledging that there is no 'middle ground' between 'true' and 'false', each extreme is viewed as absolute. Furthermore, this dualistic mindset leads one to see 'truth' as fixed and immutable - as something that can never change.

This conception of an absolute truth and falsehood leads to extreme behaviour, with each party engaging in an endless battle to prove their own 'rightness' against the opposing party.

This is evident in religion and ideology, as well as all forms of fanaticism, but it can also be seen among spiritual students in the early stages of their journey.

However, Lord Lanto tells us that when spiritual students enter this 'battlefield' in defence of 'truth', they immediately lose wisdom.

They read more and more books, searching for the 'right answer' to give to their 'opponents'. This strays them from the spiritual path and reinforces their dualistic mindset in their 'epic' defence of their 'version of the truth'.

In more extreme cases, this can cause people to deviate from their spiritual path, leading them to become fanatical and lose their sense of direction.

The only way out of this situation is to humbly recognise that no one has the absolute truth. As the Masters tell us, life is always transcending itself on the path to becoming more.

Life is in a constant state of change; it does not stand still. We only attain wisdom when we go with the flow. True wisdom is experienced through this flow: experiencing oneness with all life.

However, this can only be achieved through Christ Consciousness. The ego and the linear mind of the mortal self can only perceive things from a dualistic point of view:

'me as opposed to others', 'true as opposed to false', and so on. To grasp truth and wisdom, we must continually flow with the 'river of life'.

Wisdom is the experience of being aware of changes in our consciousness and sense of identity.
