Healing and Creativity

In this article, I will explore the relationship between healing and creativity. I am following the teachings of Master More in his book[1].
Healing is needed if we want to be creative.
Being Creative by Overcoming Fear
Creativity is the impulse to become more using the power of will, to propel ourselves forward. However, we can only achieve this by overcoming the reactive self that interacts with the world through fear.
It is fear that causes people to accept conditions that limit their creativity. As Master More says, most people on earth were deeply wounded when they first incarnated. Most people on Earth have been deeply wounded by the traumatic experiences created by fallen beings to hinder their spiritual growth when they first incarnated on Earth.
This is the greatest wound that people have in their material bodies, and it gave rise to a decision - to never again experience anything similar to that trauma. This decision created a self, the primal self, - which has since taken control of their life.
This self assumed the role that the 'conscious you' had held until then, because the latter decided that it no longer wanted to make decisions on planet Earth.
The role of the self is to ensure survival in the material world. Created on the material plane, the self feels threatened by external material conditions. Therefore, in order to survive, it has agreed to obey the rules and conditions defined by fallen beings.
Rather than embracing life spontaneously, the newly formed self attempted to predict what might happen to it, thereby losing the 'innocence' of experiencing life with confidence. It began to react out of fear of suffering in the world.
However, as Master More says, spiritual growth stops in this way because no one can grow through fear.
« Because becoming more is a creative process, and a creative process cannot be forced. It cannot be based on fear; it must be based on love.» [2]
So, what we need to do is overcome our fears and open ourselves up to love and the 'innocence of accepting life's spontaneity'. Of course, this is easier said than done.
However, the Masters provided us with the tools and assistance we need to confront our old wounds and our primal selves.[3]
Healing is only Possible by Facing our Wounds
Healing is only possible when we accept that we must face our fears and delve into the core of our deepest wounds. We need to be aware of the wound's existence, recognise the decisions it has led to, and acknowledge the self that has resulted from it.
Mother Mary, the Divine Mother of the earth, can help us with this process if we ask her for help.
Psychologists are well aware of how important it is for us to be aware of the experiences that have caused us trauma. This is no different for the trauma that every spiritual student must overcome to grow spiritually.
One of the fundamental truths of the spiritual path is that if we co-created something, only us can uncreate it. Despite the unconditional support that the Masters provide, they cannot undo what we created in our own minds.
It's not just because of free will; we are also here on earth to transform our consciousness.
This can only be achieved by looking inside ourselves and accepting that we must retract past decisions. In the world of form, the 'conscious you' must retract the decision 'I don't want to make decisions anymore'.
That decision created the external self, the primal self that has been in control. Only we can let it die; we created it, and we must uncreate it. By letting this self die, we will stop the reactive fear and the deep cloud that has hung over our heads for so long will disappear.
This will reconnect us to our spiritual source — our 'I am' presence — and we will regain our ability to be creative.
As Master More says, the wounds we accumulate throughout our lives are additions to the deeper wound that caused us to change our sense of identity from that of a spiritual, confident and joyful being to a sombre, reactive one, contracted by the fear of suffering and dying.
Only then can we stop seeing ourselves as separate beings and feel that life is one and that we are all connected. Healing is the process of returning to the union of the Christ mind and feeling the energy of love streaming through us and all life, recognising it as the only real energy in the universe.
