What caused me to begin my spiritual search.

You might think that there is nothing particularly that would have contributed to my beginning my journey on the spiritual path. I mentioned that I used to take myself off to church at the top of our street. But what had happened to make me as an eight year old kid to want to see what church was all about. Well let me continue. It was a Sunday morning and we lived on a street that was extremely steep, this was before we moved to Salford, we were living in Stoke-On-Trent at this time. I had been sent out to play, probably because I was annoying my parents. It was very quiet and the street was empty, I was playing ball, when the ball decided to roll down the street right to the very bottom of the street to the main road. I was not supposed to go anywhere near the main road, but I was only four years old and no-one else was around to know what I intended to do. So, I chased that ball as fast as I could, but as the street was so steep, I could not catch up with that ball. The ball of course landed right in the middle of the main road which was near a bend where you could not see around to know what was coming. It was a Sunday and no traffic, and no-one to see what I was about to do, I checked in all directions and yep no-one around. So, I went to retrieve my ball from the middle of the road. As soon as I bent down to pick that ball up I heard it, the sound of bells clanging loudly, it could only be either an ambulance or the police, I had been taught to know that sound. Well, I froze on the spot, and I do mean froze, it was like I was stuck to the road itself, I was scared stiff to frightened to move. I just closed my eyes, but then I felt myself being lifted up and carried, I still did not open my eyes, but then I felt my feet back on the ground and I did open my eyes. I looked everywhere to the right, to the left, behind me, in front of me. I saw the ambulance go racing past, but there was no-one else there. How did I end up back on the pavement. Well I just ran all the way back up the street as fast as my little legs could carry me. I never mentioned that I had been very naughty and gone near the main road because I knew the penalty I would receive. That was the first of a number of events that happened in my childhood. To be continued.
