‘Sophia’ the Wisdom of the Divine Feminine

In this article I will write about 'Sophia', the divine feminine wisdom. I am basing my writing on the teachings of Mother Mary at a recent conference.[1]

Mother Mary drew our attention to this kind of wisdom: 'There is a relationship between us, the mind of Christ, our I Am presence, and the Masters. It is a vertical relationship. However, there is also a horizontal relationship between us and life in general»[2].

This horizontal relationship is what 'Sophia', the wisdom of the divine mother, is all about. However, it is not disconnected from the vertical relationship, since the two are complementary.

While masculine wisdom, or 'the wisdom of the father', is expansive and looks for new ways to transcend itself, feminine wisdom, or 'the wisdom of the mother', focuses on what already exists and examines the effects of our choices and experiences.

I think we can say that the 'wisdom of the father' is the alpha aspect of wisdom, while the 'wisdom of the mother' or 'Sophia' is the omega aspect, the practical application of the principles created by the 'wisdom of the father', exercised through freedom of choice and evaluation of these choices.

As the Masters have often told us, we are experiential beings; we are here to experiment with our ability to co-create by making choices and examining the results. Through this process of evaluation, we can make better choices and decisions based on our learning experience.

This experiential knowledge is very important, and the Masters also use it at all levels — it is not just something we do on Earth.

At the aforementioned conference, Master Surya told us about the process of creating planets and galaxies, and how sometimes processes do not produce the expected results.

However, these processes are important because by acknowledging what does and does not work, we improve our decision-making skills by learning from experience.

We can do the same thing on Earth.

‘Sophia’ is a Practical Knowledge

The purpose of the 'wisdom of the mother' is not to create grandiose theoretical models; rather, it is to provide us with a tool to improve our understanding of what is best for our lives in this material realm.

An important characteristic about ‘Sophia’ is  the awareness that « we are together in the process of life»[3]. We are not isolated beings; we are part of a whole.

When we make choices that benefit the whole, we are also choosing what is better for us. Jesus illustrated this when he said, “Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me” (Matthew 25:40).

This is why the wisdom of the mother is so important right now, as we take our first steps towards the manifestation of the Golden Age - an era of community and cooperation.

As Mother Mary says, 'Sophia, the wisdom of the divine feminine, is the key to helping the world overcome the difficulties before the Golden Age can be manifested».[4]

And how can this be done? Mother Mary explained to us: we look inwards and examine the consequences of our choices and decisions in all aspects of our individual lives and social interactions, in both our personal, social and professional roles.

We are all part of a community within a specific country and culture. In democratic countries, at least, we vote and participate in social life as citizens. We feel the effects of all aspects of social and political life.  And we can use our ability to access the wisdom of the Mother to answer questions:

'Did it work? Is this what we want? Do we need to make a different choice? How can we change ourselves to achieve better results?' We examine the results of our choices with a neutral perception, taking an ‘honest look’ at ourselves.

We then take the necessary measures to achieve different results if we are not satisfied with the current outcome. The wisdom of the mother is not aggressive but helps us to have the courage to take responsibility for ourselves and accept that we don't always make the best choices.

Instead of blaming ourselves or projecting blame onto others when we don’t like the results, we should take responsibility.

The wisdom of the mother recognises that sometimes we need to make mistakes in order to learn to make better choices. And connected to the  wisdom to the wisdom of the father, we can transcend the mindset that led us to make the previous choices that had bad results.

The wisdom of the mother connected to the wisdom of the father open us to what is new, finding new ways and trying new things without fear, because we know that we must dare to venture into the unknown while also building on what we have learnt from past experiences.
